Learning designer/ VET BOLD Project Manager

In this contract role, I am responsible for the implementation of blended learning within the tertiary division of Federation University. This includes the development and delivery of professional development programs focused on blended and online learning. 

 

The project involves:

  • Conducting an audit of the university's current uptake and quality of blended learning;

  • Surveying students and staff on attitudes, capabilities and expectation with regard to online learning; 

  • Establishing appropriate infrastructure to assure project success

  • Working with subject matter experts to develop appropriate blended learning activities based on audit and survey;

  • Seeking business opportunities for the university related to online learning; 

  • Contribute to the development of new online VET delivery and assessment practice and learning resources consistent with VET Standards, Training Packages requirements and assessment practice across a broad range of industry areas. 

  • Project managing the development of online resources. This includes photo, sound and video production and post production.

 

I am responsible for a budget of over $250,000. 

 

I have recently wrote and received a grant for $20,000 to work with a subject matter expert to develop online learning resources and activities centered on the prevention and treatment of corrosion.

I planned, implemented and administered an LMS (Moodle) site. I planned online and face-to-face professional development activities and provided technical support for the rollout of the LMS to all of the organisation divisions.

 

I led and supported 10 cross-divisional pilot eLearning projects. This included instructional design, providing training in support for Moodle, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Audition, and Camtasia as well as providing technical assistance with multimedia activities. Assisted teachers and trainers to identify and transition content to an online format such as converting video and audio formats, Flexible Learning Toolboxes, SCORM, etc. 

 

I supervised the project budget liaising with General Managers and corporate services to ensure that funding is reserved to support the project where required. Conducted project analysis and provide progress reports to key stakeholders.

In this role I worked with Subject Matter Experts and RTOs to design, develop and deliver eLearning resources. The role involved rolling out accredited, nationwide blended learning training focused on improving the skills of Teacher Librarians using Moodle. I also developed learning materials using Articulate Storyline.

 

I was responsible for administering and maintaining all 3 Moodle and WordPress websites. I served as primary trainer, teaching face-to-face, blended and facilitating online classes, conducting assessments, competency assessments, Recognition of prior learning process, etc.
